At Live Proxies, we place a strong emphasis on security and implement a secure authentication system to ensure that users' proxies are only accessed by authorized individuals.
Upon purchasing a proxy plan from us, users receive unique username:password credentials along with an additional access code for added security and protection. These credentials must be kept confidential to ensure that only the authorized user has access to their proxies.
Metered plans give users the optional ability to whitelist (authorize) their instance IPs. However, it is not a requirement. If a user decides to authorize some of their instance IPs, the limit is up to 6 different instance IPs that can be whitelisted (authorized) through their user dashboard.
For unmetered plans, users must whitelist (authorize) at least one of their instance IPs to avoid potential abuse or proxy reselling. Without whitelisting, proxies will not be activated. Unmetered plan users are allowed to whitelist up to 3 instance IPs at any given time.
To manage your whitelisted instance IPs, simply log in to your user dashboard and add or remove the IPs as needed. Keeping your instance IPs up to date is essential for ensuring the security and protection of your proxies.
There have been instances where bots or applications utilized the task proxies from users' servers without authorization, which necessitated running the proxies without whitelisted IPs. Consequently, unmetered plans are not suitable for these bots as IP whitelisting is a requirement. Additionally, users on metered plans should not have any whitelisted IPs on their dashboard to ensure smooth operation of the bots running proxies on their servers.
